Jonathan Harris is a member of the Cornley Drama Society. He is an avid sports enthusiast and model outside of the society. His first production with the CDS was The Murder At Haversham Manor, and he played the titular role in their production of Peter Pan.
Personality[]
Jonathan seems to be the most level headed of the members, often taking things in stride. He is not a bad actor, but the accidents that befall the CDS will happen to him too; he misses cues, comes in too early or exits too late often, and gets injured on stage. He can be mean to other members, and a little bit narcissistic, although he seems to have become more pleasant over time.
He landed the title role in Peter Pan but after a very public falling out with the leading actress, he was relegated to smaller roles in subsequent productions, and most of his Play of the Week appearances were also further limited by set issues. However, in the very final segment of the final episode he demonstrated his many talents when he managed to choreograph an elaborate ensemble musical number by himself, managing to keep up even when the rest of the cast were unconscious.
Relationships[]
Sandra Wilkinson[]
By the time of Peter Pan, Jonathan and Sandra were having a secret relationship (though it was clear to almost everyone that it was happening). However, he still made out with the barely conscious Annie during the accident with the revolve, causing Sandra to dump him. It is possibly due to this that the size of his roles were later reduced.
Max Bennett[]
Jonathan's behaviour towards Max is initially nothing out of the ordinary, but after finding out that Max is in love with his girlfriend Sandra, he becomes very rude and cutting, insulting his role as the Crocodile.
Robert Grove[]
In "The Cornley Drama Festival Part 1" Robert runs an acting class where he lines up the rest of the Society's actors from best to worst based on their acting skills. When we first see the actors in the line, Jonathan is first in the line but Robert reveals that he is merely holding the number for Robert and is sent off. Jonathan is sent off and therefore doesn't have a place in the line and we don't know how Robert ranks his acting.
